This illustration was produced as an entry into the Communication Arts yearly competition in the category of editorial illustration. 

It deals with the numbers of couples entering into traditional marriages as opposed to more common civil partnership. 

The detail is the fun part of this piece. The mouse staring at the cheese, the bloodied window of the kitchen, the silhouette of the meat cleaver through the same glass.
