Personal Project
A report in 2012 found that NIKE was guilty of not having paid for 600,000 hours of work carried out by staff in one of their manufacturing plants in South East Asia.
​
It was yet another indictment of the sweat shop policies of one of the world's biggest and most successful corporations.
I decided to carry out a personal project where I used exactly 1lb of pigskin / flesh to portray the message 'Just Pay Them'. This is a play on their famous slogan and the 1lb of pigskin was to represent the pound of flesh that NIKE was getting from each of its sweat shop employees.

It's a strong image portraying the corruption of big business.
